ABOUT US:
BOYS & GIRLS OF TRANSFORMATION MENTORING PROGRAM is a non-profit and Christian organization that serves youth between the ages of 8-17. Services provided are group mentoring, one on one mentoring, life skills training, academic enrichment, and educational services. The organization offers (4) programs: Afterschool Mentorship Program, Summer Mentorship Program, Parenting Mentorship Program, and a 12-week Saturday Mentorship Program.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Boys & Girls of Transformation Mentoring Program is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant/Personal Assistant that will directly support the Executive Director and the Director of the Boys Program that consist of coordinating the day-to-day administrative duties that contribute to the overall efficient operations of our office. We're seeking a candidate that's timely, can work independently, multi-tasker, communicate effectively (written & verbal), exceptional writing skills, typing skills, Quick books proficient (a plus), strong organizational skills, and Microsoft Office proficient for this position. Soft skills such as polished, professional, kind, pleasant, engaging, cooperative, honest, and a positive attitude to name a few. The hours for the position are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm. Professionalism in conduct and attire is a MUST. Must have reliable transportation. Grant Writing is a plus! Candidates with a strong Christian faith are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:
Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
Analyze & Improve Administrative Systems
Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
Generate correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
Prepare and monitor monthly invoice.
Research current grant availability using organization software.
Update and develop data management systems.
Order office supplies.
Greet and provide general support to office visitors and create a great first impression.
Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, and etc.
Write letters and emails on behalf of organization.
Personal & Business Errands (must have a valid driver license and transportation).
Maintain and develop computer and manual filing systems.
Create Spreadsheets, Forms, and other documents.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years prior Administrative Experience
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Skilled in Google Suites
Associate Degree (a must)
Quick book (a plus)
Research Experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent computer skills
Excellent Writing Skills
Type at least 50 wpm
Excellent organizational and Communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
