High School Assistant Principal – 2025-2026 School Year

Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia seeks a High School Assistant Principal to, in partnership with school leadership, prepare students for success in high school, college, and beyond. The ideal candidate will share the school’s educational philosophy and embrace the vision of college success for all students, holding themselves and others to the highest standards to achieve ambitious goals. The assistant principal will support the day-to-day management of the school, in collaboration with the principal, instructional leadership, student support, specialized services, and operations teams. The assistant principal will build a positive, structured, and achievement-oriented school climate and culture, implementing systems of accountability for students, faculty, and staff. The assistant principal will provide leadership on all instructional and non-instructional endeavors, including professional development, talent management, curriculum and instruction, and extracurricular and other student programming.

Responsibilities
- Develop the Student Code of Conduct and clear, consistent systems of accountability to create and maintain an environment conducive to teaching, learning, and character and professional development.
- Collaborate with school stakeholders and community organizations to develop current and identify new learning, cocurricular, and extracurricular opportunities for students.
- Support the recruitment, management, development, evaluation, and retention of a high-quality faculty and staff.
- Support all students in meeting high standards of performance, partnering with school leadership to lead faculty in the development of curriculum and instruction practices and the specialized services team in the implementation of individualized education plans.
- Manage the teaching apprentices in alignment with the needs of the school and the goals of the Boys’ Latin Teaching Fellowship.
- Commit to the school’s extended day structure, serving students outside of the regular school day, overseeing the Leadership Academy, Saturday School, and summer academy programs.
- Champion the school’s traditions and rituals and serve as a culture keeper of the Boys’ Latin mission.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, and PA state administrative certification.
