Bozard Ford Lincoln, a high-volume vendor for government entities across Florida, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Government Fleet Sales Representative to join our team. This position is focused on expanding our reach and increasing sales by generating new business, nurturing existing customer relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of government fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in government sales, a deep understanding of the fleet vehicle industry, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
o Establish and maintain long-term relationships with fleet buyers in government entities.
o Actively reach out to potential customers to showcase Bozard Ford Lincoln's offerings, ensuring alignment with their fleet needs.
o Respond promptly to quote requests and inquiries with detailed product knowledge and expertise in government sales.
o Ensure timely and accurate vehicle orders, including upfits, that match customer specifications while maximizing revenue.
Bidding and Contract Management:
o Follow a successful bid procedure for individual contracts, including the correct usage of state contracts to ensure competitive pricing.
o Develop and submit bid packages for manager approval and timely submission to purchasing boards.
o Work with internal teams to ensure all pricing and contract terms are correct, ensuring revenue growth for Bozard Ford Lincoln.
Customer Service and Communication:
o Communicate consistently with fleet buyers to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
o Coordinate with billing, inventory, and delivery teams to guarantee the timely and accurate processing of orders, deliveries, and billing.
o Track the delivery of vehicles to ensure they meet customer timelines and specifications.
Purchasing and Upfit Coordination:
o Order vehicles and upfits, ensuring proper stock and availability for timely production.
o Collaborate with vendors to ensure the timely installation of upfits and manage communication regarding any delays or issues.
o Maintain a thorough understanding of Bozard Ford's inventory and upfit offerings to guide customers in selecting the best options for their needs.
Order and Deal Support:
o Assist with deal paperwork, working closely with finance and sales teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
o Assist with follow-up on unpaid invoices, working with receivables to ensure timely collections.
o Research new bid opportunities and potential customers to expand the government fleet market share.
o Provide ongoing updates to management regarding orders, inventory, and customer satisfaction.
• Problem Resolution:
o Resolve issues related to incorrectly built or upfitted vehicles, working with internal teams and vendors to ensure quick resolution.
o Ensure all vehicles are delivered as promised, both in terms of product specifications and delivery timelines.
Key Performance Indicators:
Leading Indicators:
o High volume of customer contacts and outreach efforts.
o Positive customer feedback and satisfaction scores.
o Organized and efficient bidding processes for contracts and state procurements.
Lagging Indicators:
o High volume of sales with positive revenue generation.
o Low vehicle age (short time from order to delivery).
o High success rate in securing bid awards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in government fleet sales or related fields.
• Strong understanding of government procurement processes and fleet vehicle specifications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with fleet upfits and vehicle ordering systems.
• Familiarity with state government contracts and bid submission procedures.
