Position Overview:
The Rental Car Coordinator will establish and manage our rental car and courtesy transportation program, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and be passionate about outstanding customer service. They should be motivated to take ownership of this role and drive its development.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development:
- Develop and implement the rental car and courtesy transportation program
- Establish policies and procedures to ensure efficient, customer-centric operations
- Collaborate with management to set goals for the program's growth and success
Fleet Management:
- Manage and maintain a fleet of rental and courtesy vehicles
- Schedule regular maintenance, cleaning, and inspections
- Monitor availability and coordinate scheduling to maximize utilization
- Track mileage, usage, and service history
Customer Service:
- Greet customers and assist with reservations, pick-ups, returns
- Provide detailed information about rental terms and vehicle features
- Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the rental process
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of rental transactions and vehicle usage
- Process rental agreements and payments
- Prepare reports on fleet utilization and customer satisfaction
- Handle insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Operational Efficiency:
- Implement procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies
- Collaborate with other departments for smooth courtesy transportation coordination
- Train and supervise staff involved in the program
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in car rental, fleet management, or related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer skills
- Proficiency in Google Office and rental management software
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing new programs
