Summer is almost here, and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Workers to assist the Bozeman Public Library’s Youth Services! We are looking for candidates who can commit to the entire season (May-August.)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bozeman Public Library is seeking three short term workers passionate about helping kids learn, play, and explore.
We are looking to hire two Part-Time (20 hours/week) positions:
- Monday, Wednesday, Sunday (specific hours TBD) OR
- Monday, Friday, Saturday (specific hours TBD)
And one Full-Time (40 hours/week) position:
- Tuesday - Saturday (specific hours TBD)
These positions will primarily work with the staff in Youth Services providing friendly customer service, reader’s advisory and assistance with programming.
Must have experience in some of the following areas:
- Experience working with the public and/or customer service; experience working with diverse populations
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, elementary school-aged children, tweens, and/or teens
- Experience working with groups of youth (0-18)
- Library and/or education experience and training
- Experience working as part of a team in a dynamic, busy environment
- Experience with science, art, handicrafts, DIY, youth literature, and/or storytelling
Ideal candidates will be able to work independently and as part of a team, respect and enjoy youth, and not be afraid of messy art and science projects.
- Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position;
- Some experience working with children is required;
- Experience with children’s programming is desired, but not required.
