Summer is almost here, and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Workers to maintain the Sunset Hills Cemetery with our Cemetery Division! Spend your summer in one big beautiful park in the heart of downtown Bozeman. A Cemetery Short-Term Worker will be responsible for the upkeep of this historic landmark, including mowing and landscaping, preparing the grounds for burials, and getting the area looking pristine in time for Memorial Day. We are looking for candidates who can commit to the entire season (May-August.) *If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the City of Bozeman Human Resources Department for scheduling. POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains the City cemetery keeping it in a clean and safe condition for public use including, but not limited to beautification, mowing, weed removal, trash pickup/receptacle maintenance, and minor facility repairs. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm.Bargaining Unit: Not RepresentedFair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-ExemptLength of Season: Tentatively late April through the end of AugustAssignment Details: Not to exceed 90 working days or 520 hours, whichever comes first
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
High School Diploma or GED; Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position; All employees must possess a valid Class D driver's license; Some experience is desired, but not required.
