Dog Groomer
SUMMARY
This is a part-time position, ideally including some weekend and evening availability, for a fun-loving, enthusiastic, service-oriented person who loves all things dogs. Other essential qualities include excellent communication skills, a desire to provide outstanding customer service, a strong work ethic, reliability and trustworthiness.
Bozeman Dog Company is a locally-owned dog supply store that also provides dog training and operates as the base for the Invisible Fence dealership, which provides underground and GPS fencing to keep pets safe in their yard.
At a general level, this position involves: A love for dogs, proficiency in grooming techniques including, bathing, drying, nails, teeth and breed specific haircuts. It also includes excellent customer service and the ability to listen to the needs/wants of the owner and fix any issues that they request. We use MoeGo for appointments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
· Utilize MoeGo to post availability, confirm appointments, and collect payment
· Bathe and cut dogs’ hair, trim nails, brush teeth, de-shed, and perform other grooming needs
· Clean grooming area following groomings for the day--this is a requirement
· Take personal ownership of owners’ needs and offer them the best solutions and service
· Fill in for store responsibilities as needed and as available

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
· Must be punctual, trustworthy and a good steward of the company’s resources
· Must have 1 year or more of pet grooming experience
-Have a love for dogs and their safety and well-being
· Friendly and caring demeanor that helps customers and their pets feel special
· Good communication and listening skills
· Well-presented appearance and professionalism
· Desire to see the company grow and to be an integral part of that process
· Understanding of dog products and current information about them
· Basic understanding of underling health issues that grooming can show such as hot spots. Also gentle demeanor when telling the owner about anything you find.
SCHEDULE and COMPENSATION
Part time. Schedule: as customers make appointments; hours are variable
