2024-2025 Salary: Salary Grade B: $17.03 - $18.08/hr. DOE or current placement on salary schedule. This is a temporary position based on student enrollment.
Description: Hawthorne Elementary School is proud to offer a student-centered, tight-knit, warm, and collaborative environment. The individual in this position will work with students with a wide range of abilities and goals. A special education paraprofessional will be working closely with teachers to implement individual instruction for students in grades K-5 in a collaborative elementary school atmosphere. Background in effective instructional practices and behavior management would be beneficial, but training and shadowing opportunities are available. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and experience working with children are necessary qualifications.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; ideally, two or more years post secondary education. Previous experience working with elementary school age children preferred.
