RESULTS STATEMENT
The Beds Crew Leader leads and supports BSS employees in providing excellent service to our valued customers ensuring that landscaped beds are weed and garbage free within company standards and on time while strategically taking initiative to solve current and anticipated problems independently and creatively.
STRATEGIC WORK
- Motivates crew to perform with excellence by modeling professionalism and servant leadership
- Reviews Work Tickets daily to ensure appropriate time is allotted and assignments are clear
- Checks fluids in vehicle and completes Mechanical Order Request Form, as needed
- Completes vehicle checklist to ensure it is completely ready for next work day
- Adheres to and maintains Standard Operating Procedures
- Meets with Division Leader weekly to discuss quality and improvement
- Trains new hires on Aspire
- Provides Plant Health Care Field Leader with constructive feedback for performance reviews and efficiency concerns
TACTICAL WORK
- Differentiates weeds versus desirable plants
- Sprays entire weed surface when possible
- Creates efficient walking and sequence strategies
- Equips backpacks, accurately mixing chemicals as needed
- Hand-pulls live and dead weeds
- Safely drives truck
- Promptly enters correct information into Aspire
- Collects and properly disposes of trash from job site
- Exhibits willingness to work on any company crew using assigned equipment (BSS prefers and provides opportunities for year-round employment)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Legal, valid, unrestricted, driver's license
- Ability to work through the end of October is strongly preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling
- Lifting and raising objects up to 55 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position, to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles
- Fingering, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion
- Talking and hearing
- Subject to changing environmental conditions
Salary : $27 - $30
