Position Overview:
The Accounting/Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing financial data and business operations to support decision-making in a grocery distribution environment. This role is responsible for performing financial reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, and business performance evaluation to improve efficiency and profitability across the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
Partner with operations, procurement, logistics, and merchandising teams to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives.
Assist with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
Conduct margin and pricing analysis to support product and customer profitability reviews.
Evaluate and streamline financial processes for efficiency and compliance with internal controls.
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track business and operational metrics.
Support enterprise accounting systems (e.g., ERP platforms MS Access, Excel, document storage and workflow software).
Design, build, and maintain standard and ad hoc financial reports and models using tools such as MS Access and Excel
Performing other duties as assigned by leadership

Warehouse Office – approx. 65F – 75F
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
8:00am - 5:30pm
Experience:
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred: Experience with financial systems, reporting, and general ledgers.
Preferred: Experience with programming/scripting tools such as Python or VBA
Preferred: Wholesale and Retail experience preferred.
Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership
Skills:
