Job Details:
This Transportation Supervisor role is an exciting opportunity to join the Bozzuto's Inc. team and contribute to the safe and efficient movement of freight.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the skills of a team of associates to drive continuous improvement in safety-related responsibilities.
- Analyze transportation operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to achieve service objectives at the lowest possible costs.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the dispatch staff to ensure adequate coverage and meet business demands on all shifts.
Work Environment and Schedule
- This role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
- The ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of transportation-related experience is required.
- Supervisory experience of mid-to-large team sizes is necessary.
- Familiarity with DOT Rules & Regulation knowledge, Federal and State, is essential.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, such as Voice recognition technology and Employee Management systems, is beneficial.
