As a cashier at Bozzuto's, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product locations, answer inquiries, and provide information about promotions or discounts
- Process customer purchases using cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods
- Ensure correct change is provided for cash transactions
- Count and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Stay informed about products, prices, and promotions to effectively assist customers and promote sales
- Promote store loyalty programs, discounts, and special promotions to encourage customer participation
- Bag and package customer purchases efficiently, handling items with care
- Offer assistance with carrying bags or locating carts
- Resolve customer concerns or issues related to transactions with a positive attitude
- Adhere to security measures, such as checking identification for age-restricted purchases and monitoring for fraudulent activity
- Follow all company safety standards

This role requires working weekday and weekend hours as assigned.
Requirements:
- Zero to one year of retail experience or relevant experience preferred
Key Skills:
- Physical Abilities: May require lifting up to 80-85lbs; standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders daily
