Job Overview
The role of the Area Sales Manager (ASM) is to drive sales growth and support all Castrol Heavy Duty business in assigned geographies through our distributor network, National Accounts, OEM, and Travel America direct accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue growth targets in assigned territory
- Sell, grow, and support Castrol Heavy Duty business in assigned geography
- Demonstrate, teach, and train DSRs on how to prospect and close new business using Castrol programs
- Prospecting, pipeline development in Salesforce and accountability for closing opportunities within territory of 25,000 gallons (annualized)
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects in HD strategic segments
- Support HD National Accounts in local geography on an ad-hoc basis when local site support is needed
- Ensure OEM, HDNA, TA, and key account sites are converted to Castrol, have access to timely DFF supply, and are being serviced per IFOT KPI's
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the heavy-duty industry
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles
- Strong understanding of sales principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
