Sr. Manager Business Services

Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Business Services is responsible for office management, facility management, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), car fleet management, supporting the enterprise CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) on activities related to facilities and fleet and reception management for Alexions´ Munich site in Germany, in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders and vendors nationally and internationally. It is essential to have a positive can-do attitude as tasks will be multifaceted with multiple people and function/level interactions.

The position has been recently established and the candidate has the opportunity to create this function together with the Head of Business Services.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Create the function Business Services (Facility Management, Fleet Management and Safety, Health & Environment)
• 1 direct report (receptionist) and ISS team
• Facility Management:
• Ensures trouble-free and safe workflow for Alexion employees at the Munich Office (removal in March to newly renovated and refurbished floor)
• Fulfillment of operator responsibility (Betreiber-Verantworlichkeit)
• Service Provider Control
• Ensures professional operation of the reception
• Managing of ISS team (2nd receptionist, day porter and cleaning services)
• Safety, Health and Environment (SHE):
• Ensure statutory requirements in occupational safety
• Working with the global SHE reporting system
• Management of external functions (e.g., Company Doctor,  & Occupational Safety Specialist)
• Member of Global SHE team
• Mobility:
• Support by an external fleet manager
•  Operational supervision of Alexion Germany car fleet (transfer to e-mobility finalized end of 2025)
• Managing Supplier (Leasing, rental and insurance companies)
• Drivers´ safety trainings and campaigns

Essential Qualifications

• Successfully completed commercial training or comparable qualification (f / m / d)
• You have already gained several years of work experience in a comparable position
• You are confident in using MS office
• You are personally characterized by your high degree of leadership, reliability,  resilience, business acumen, service orientation
• Experienced Teamworker with a positive “can-do” attitude  
• Independent, structured and precise way of working and organizational skills
• Positive attitude
• Fluent in German and in business English
• Experienced in Fleet management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with office fitouts
• Experienced in Safety, Health and Environment
• Experience with management of a reception desk
