Inventory and Production Clerk

We are looking to hire an Inventory/Production clerk for our growing manufacturing plant. We are a small manufacturing firm in Emporia, KS. We do primarily injection molding work creating small plastic parts for a variety of other businesses both locally and throughout the Mid-West. This is great opportunity for either an experienced office/plant worker or for a relatively new worker with a strong desire to learn and understand manufacturing processes. Experience with or knowledge of inventory tracking or manufacturing production systems is a big plus. Responsibilities involve processing orders, creating Bills of Material and work orders, tracking plant production, and recording inventory transactions. We are a small business, so the ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks including physical trimming, boxing, and shipping of parts is very important. The position works closely with production personnel, office management, and plant management. Other tasks such as preparing shipping documents, some ordering/purchasing, and some assistance with other bookkeeping/accounting/office functions are involved. Light duty help in the shop with preparing parts for movement, storage, and shipment will also be expected.
