Summary:
Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Designs new products and manages existing product lines as well as interacts with customers both internal and external on any technical matter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Discuss with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Troubleshoot failures and existing methods.
- Conduct product performance and reliability testing as required. Maintain all records and evaluate test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Assist with managing and maintaining CAD system and simulation software.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance.
- Understand and follow all procedures and requirements of the Engineering Department and Governing Bodies.
- Offer technical support to inside and outside sales and deal directly with customers to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain product related data in business ERP system.
- Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
Education and/or Experience:
Associates Degree in manufacturing engineering, or related field, from two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with operating and troubleshooting processes or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
ERP experience a plus.
Proficient in 3D Drafting software, SolidWorks experience is preferred. Finite Element Analysis is a plus, experience with the design of trucks and hydraulic equipment.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skill set.
Monday - Thursday 7:00-4:30 and Fridays 7-11
40 hours a week
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
