What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at BPG LLC dba J-Tech?
This role will be responsible for supporting the material needs of the company as well as the purchasing and inventory departments by issuing material, pulling stock, monitoring stock levels, unloading shipments, and running material to different buildings around campus.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Control:
o Perform daily check and restock of all relevant bins in various buildings around campus.
o Communicate stock outs and low levels to purchasing and inventory teams to ensure replenishment.
Material Issue:
o Continually issue all required materials for work orders, truck kits, and various walk-ins as requested throughout the day.
o Carry out proper issuing procedures through ERP system as follow up measure.
o Operate company truck/vehicles to run parts as requested to buildings on campus.
Unloading and Storing Shipments:
o Safely operate forklift to unload daily shipments and stow on pallet racking.
o Ensure all material delivered daily to Shipping is brought over to Stock Rooms.
o Scan and verify all material is intact and matches packing slips in description and quantity.
o Ensure all packing slips and documentation is passed down to purchasing for receiving.
o Put away all material in proper bins and locations.
Continuous Improvement:
o Observe daily material demand trends and inform purchasing of possible improvements that can be made to run lean and avoid stockouts.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
o GED or High School Diploma.
o Valid State Driver’s License.
o Forklift experience preferable.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Understanding of basic inventory management principles.
Salary negotiable depending on experience and skill set.
Monday - Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, Fridays 8:00am-12:00pm
40 hours a week
