We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Building Inspector to join our team as a Senior Building Official. In this role, you will be responsible for managing building department operations, providing expert advice to clients, and performing field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage building department operations, including plan review and inspection services
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to day-to-day functions
- Consult with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues
- Perform field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience
- Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes
- Good driving record
- ICC Certified Building Official certification
- ICC Inspector certifications preferred
- ICC Plan Review certifications preferred
