Job Description
The successful candidates must possess the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain professional working relationships with clients, coworkers, and permit applicants. Political awareness along with the ability to work with elected officials, City officials, and department customers will be essential to the success of the selected individuals.
Key qualifications include:
- Five (5) plus years as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience.
- Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes.
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes.
- Good driving record.
