BQC Foundry is a 4th generation family-owned foundry that has been growing and expanding over the last 5 years. With all of the new machinery we have installed we are looking to expand our Maintenance team and have an immediate need for a Maintenance Mechanic II . The Maintenance Mechanic Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment in the aluminum sand foundry. This role involves diagnosing complex issues, executing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Straightens castings to meet product specifications.
Essential Functions
- Using a variety of hammers and fixtures, hand straightens castings to meet blueprint specifications or to flatten, level or even up castings.
- In conjunction with the department's leader develops and maintains written procedures, pictures of fixtures and steps straightening castings.
- Uses shop floor manager to job on and off shop orders and report accurate counts.
- Performs straightening check and inspection for castings that require it before shipment.
- Performs Straightening process at the T4 step for castings requiring heat treatment.
- Stacks castings going for T6 in a manner that will ensure castings conformity during heat treatment process.
- Reports any non-conforming product to the department's Leader.
- Uses files to remove any excess material that would prevent a flat to table condition.
- Uses air tools to conduct any rework necessary for properly conducting straightening process.
- Maintains proper storage and care of straightening fixtures and tools.
- Reports any fixture to the leader that does not yield the desired casting conditions.
- Weight skids and labels boxes when performing a packing operation.
- Maintains area cleaned and free from any obstructions.
- Assist Department by performing castings inspections when necessary.
- Maintains proper counts for casting going back to heat treat for process completions.
- Maintains proper count of castings being pack for shipment.
- Carries out all duties & responsibilities in full accordance with the Company's policies & procedures.
- Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Pay -$17.48
- Monday - Friday 7am -3:30pm
