BR A is seeking a MEP Engineer - Construction Administration to join our talented team. This role exercises oversight during the construction phase of building systems engineering projects and will be based in our Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks, be highly organized, have excellent writing skills, proficient computer skills, and a professional and team-oriented demeanor.
Responsibilities will include :
- Implementing approved system concepts in the construction phase.
- Managing the construction-related aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; developing and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Communicating with BR A Project Manager / Project Engineer regarding potential problems and engineering assistance from the design team that you may need.
- Coordinating with other construction trade disciplines and the architect.
- Attending meetings as required, working to submit the required documentation per project deadlines and milestones.
- Performing field work and verification of existing conditions and newly installed mechanical and electrical systems.
- Reviewing, processing, and returning electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection submittals and RFIs. The candidate is not expected to be an expert in all of these aspects of construction, but familiarity with them is desirable.
- Working with clients to review punch lists and help to resolve design and installation issues.
Required Skills :
HVAC engineering experience preferred.
