Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team at BR Printers. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Controller, and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all financial operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to our financial health and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Monitor and improve internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and company policies.
- Assist with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax filings.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Assist in developing cost-saving strategies and monitoring expenses to improve profitability.
- Train and support accounting staff to enhance team efficiency and performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the printing or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
- Proficiency in excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to management and stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
BR Printers: Hybrid Remote – Monday through Friday
The position is mainly remote, but willingness to travel, if located outside of Southern California, or meet in person at the office if needed.
