Brabazon Pump, Compressor & Vacuum is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Repair Center Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting and completing pump repairs and keeping the repair department running efficiently while meeting customer demands.

You will be successful in this role if you :
High School Diploma / GED required with 2-year technical degree or higher preferredRequires a minimum of three (3) years of mechanical / repair experience to include but is not limited to mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience in pipe fitting, programming PLCs and welding is preferredPossess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Position requires willingness to travel around Wisconsin for daily trips and rare overnight tripsIntermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet)Must have own basic tools; job specific tooling will be providedBe self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills with a strong sense of customer service and the ability to meet deadlinesSolid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and be detailed orientedWilling to work overtime when necessaryAbility to effectively communicate and understand the needs of others, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the companyBe able to regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 75 poundsMust wear and use proper PPE at all timesPrevious experience with pumps, piping, controls, and vacuum equipment is an asset, but not requiredYour daily work in this role will include :
Perform in-shop and field repairs at customer sites as neededNew equipment assembly and equipment hydrostatic & performance testingTroubleshoot and perform diagnostic assessments to determine probable cause for malfunctions and suggest repair for the customerPerform start-up and troubleshoot pumps and systems including programming of microprocessors, PLC’s, VFD’s.Installation and commissioning of vendor supplied equipmentComplete all appropriate paperwork in detailConduct general facility maintenance repair from daily / weekly assignments and special projectsAt Brabazon, we are THE trusted experts in compressed air and pump products since 1978.
