Manager, Scientific Information
Job Purpose
The position holder is responsible for responding to both internal and external customer requests for medical or technical information about the Bracco product line for the Rest of the World countries outside of Europe. The incumbent supports the intake and closure of Product Quality Complaints originating from the Americas. Responsibilities also include the supervision and training of Scientific Information NA ROW (SI NA ROW) consultants and support personnel.
Main Responsibilities, Activities, Duties, and Tasks
Provide accurate, timely, and appropriate responses (oral and written) to requests for product related medical information from internal and external customers
Primary coverage for the Scientific Information 800 phone and e-mail for ROW markets (non-EU)
Support AI systems and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Receive, process and draft response letters for product complaints
Train and comply with SOPs as related to the handling of product information inquiries and product quality complaints
Record all information requests and product complaints and upload source documents in the electronic database
Perform ad hoc literature searches in response to customer inquiries, evaluate information and respond to customers
Review and update standard response letters
Maintain Scientific Information literature files
Identify potential issues from incoming calls and inform Scientific Information management
Participate in after-hours coverage for emergency calls
Interface with Drug Safety for forwarding of adverse event reports
Review and update the Frequently Asked Questions list
Support MR-CAS and MSL requests as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage and assign daily tasks for the Scientific Information NA consultant staff.
Education
The position requires a four-year college degree in sciences or a 2-year degree with healthcare certificate such as Nursing or Technologist. A two-year science degree with 5 years experience within a pharmaceutical Professional Services or Scientific/Medical Information department is acceptable.
Professional Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills
Excellent computer skills including efficient and accurate data entry skills
Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
Experience with AI and learning concepts.
Assist in the development of Generative AI models with knowledge of scientific information engagement
Working knowledge of computer technology associated with database entry and word processing
Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information
Sound judgment, ability to make responsible decisions
Ability to manage high call volume and remain calm under pressure
