Description
Brad Hall Fuel (BHF) is currently seeking an HR Intern. This position will assist corporate and field hiring managers with the recruiting/selection process for all positions within the organization. They will also assist in HR related projects regarding staffing, benefits, and organizational development, etc.
BHF is one of the largest petroleum distributors in the Western United States doing business in over 40 states. In addition to the BHF core business, BHF is involved in agriculture, oil field services, propane distribution, fuel transportation, retail fuel stations, and property management.
The HR Intern will primarily be focused on:

Assist in ensuring successful recruitment and interviewing of qualified candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions.

Assist in sourcing, screening, scheduling, and conducting interviews, negotiating offers and matching candidates to provided qualifications.

Training individual store managers on the HRIS system

Work with payroll to ensure that time off requests, time punch requests, and timecard approvals are completed.

Assist in coaching field managers on the hiring and interviewing process, applicable state, and federal laws, etc.

Responsible for onboarding of new hires and ensuring I9/E-Verify compliance, helping employees access W2s, and completing employment verifications.

Maintain the HR scorecard and contribute to the activities that would improve existing turnover.

Conduct exit interviews as well as check-in interviews for current employees.
The preferred candidate for the HR Intern will have the following:

Degree seeking in a related field.

Strong organization skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills that include strong presentation and relationship building skills.

Excellent computer skills (MS Office, excel).
