Description
Job Summary
Support farm operations for Hall Farms, LLC including HR and Safety support, lead Risk Management, and oversee Inventory Management and Preventative Maintenance.
Job Duties
Operations:
- GAP Audit
- Coordinate and prepare for GAP audits to ensure compliance with industry standards for food safety and quality.
- Develop and maintain documentation and records required for GAP certification, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), training records, and audit reports.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deficiencies identified during GAP audits.
- Manage and monitor camera systems and security systems.
- Fuel station management.
- Monitor fuel consumption.
- Manage fuel station access by activating and deactivating fuel fobs.
- Manage H-2A housing maintenance and compliance.
- Work with Dept of Labor to schedule housing inspections prior to H-2A employees arriving to the US.
- Correct issues that arise out of inspection.
- Manage all facilities maintenance.
- Create and manage supplies, parts, tools, and chemical inventory systems.
- Conduct training sessions on topics such as H-2A program requirements and GAP standards for farm managers.
HR Support:
- Manage aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management
- Oversee the H-2A visa program, including recruitment of temporary agricultural workers, visa processing, and compliance with program requirements.
- Collaborate with farm managers to assess staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified agricultural workers.
- Support time management for hourly employees.
- Coordinate with HR Director on leave management
- Coordinate with payroll for Benefits management for employees.
- Coordinate with Director of HR for staffing and organizational structure planning.
- Ensure training, development, and progression planning meet operation’s needs.
Safety Support:
- Create and conduct trainings for employees on safety related topics.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of farm operations to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
- Bilingual Spanish
- Three or more years' experience in Operations, Human Resources, Safety or a related field.
- Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
- Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
- Able to effectively multitask.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations, Ag Business, or a related field.
- Experience with HR and Safety.
- Experience in farming operations.
- Experience in safety in agriculture.
- Experience in executing the H2A Visa process and GAP audit.
