Description
Hall Farms, LLC is seeking a highly experience Pivot Technician.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of pivot systems to identify wear, damage, or potential issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including lubricating components, adjusting alignment, and replacing parts as needed.
- Have extensive knowledge of Zimmatic Pivots, Reinke and Valley Corner Arms.

Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in pivot systems.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.

Electrical Systems:
- Test and repair wiring, control panels, and electrical motors associated with pivot systems.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations.

Operational Efficiency:
- Monitor irrigation schedules and system performance to ensure proper water distribution.
- Provide recommendations for improving efficiency and reducing water and energy consumption.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while working with heavy equipment and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system configurations.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with farm management and other team members to coordinate irrigation activities.
- Train other farm staff on the proper use and care of pivot systems.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
- At least 4 years experience in pivot irrigation systems or related mechanical/electrical fields.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, control panels, and hydraulic components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual preferred.
Work Environment:
- Majority of work performed outdoors on farmland.
- Ability to work long hours during peak seasons.
- Regular exposure to heavy machinery, moving parts, and potentially hazardous material
- Some on-call responsibilities may be required for emergency repair
