Description
The Industrial Machine Mechanic will be responsible for the efficient functioning of all maintenance-related activities in a manner consistent with the rules and policies established by Bradford & Bigelow. The Industrial Machine Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing, conducting machine repairs and preventive maintenance. Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for machinery.
- Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems.
- Execute machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Work with control systems and ensure proper functionality.
- Service motors and gearboxes.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
- Rigging equipment for moves.
- Dependability and reliability with respect to attendance and policy.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the printing industry is preferred but not required.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for industrial machinery. Open to training and skill development.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 100 lbs.
- Capable of maneuvering inside or around machines to perform repairs.
- Ability to bend, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Operate heavy machinery (i.e. fork trucks, lifts, snow removal and lawn care equipment).
- Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery (PPE provided).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
