Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
Qualifications:
- Have an interest or experience working for a Community Health Center and the commitment to treating an underserved population
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- New Graduates will not be considered for this position
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
