Having established a strong reputation for delivering adaptable solutions and fostering lasting client relationships, they are looking to add a motivated Land Survey CAD Technician to the team to assist in the preparation of survey maps, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey to draft survey plats, topographic maps, and construction layouts.
- Process and manage survey field data, including GPS and total station files.
- Interpret field notes, deeds, legal descriptions, and subdivision plats to ensure accurate representation of survey data.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, project managers, and field crews to deliver high-quality survey drawings.
- Verify survey drawings for accuracy, compliance with regulations, and client specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of boundary analysis, easement descriptions, and parcel exhibits.
- Maintain file organization and data integrity for survey projects.
- Stay updated on surveying standards, local codes, and GIS integration.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Surveying, Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in land surveying, drafting, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, GIS software, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
- Understanding of coordinate geometry (COGO), control points, and data reduction.
- Ability to identify errors and ensure compliance with survey standards.
- Strong ability to work in a team and effectively communicate with field crews and project managers.
- Work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
