Position Descriptions
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Division: Operations Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Function: Maintain operation of Bar Soap production line equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up when maintenance repairs are identified
- Respond to maintenance repair requests from the production
- Maintains machine records by recording service and repairs
- Review and complete Work Orders on a daily basis
- Establish the root cause of machine failure during maintenance repairs
- Provide training and development to Maintenance Tech I
- Establish a plan to prevent repeat failure based on the root cause
- Machine parts, fabricate, and weld as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Assist with facility maintenance and other activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Review operation and make suggestions to improve the process, follow up until the project is completed
- Assist production in maintaining quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures
- Equipment PM, repair, and installation
- Other activities as directed by the Maintenance Tech level 3 or Maintenance Manager

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school education requires a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary schooling.
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Capable of functioning with little supervision.
- High Mechanical, Welding, & Fabrication skills.
- Good Electrical skills
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Able to communicate effectively and have strong team collaboration skills
- Able to operate all machinery on the production floor
- General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Capable of physical effort. Will spend a significant number of hours in a shop floor environment.
- General knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Capable of extended hour commitment and on-call at all times.
- Capable of completing full setup (Press through Packaging) of every machine
Working Conditions:
- Constant exposure to the manufacturing environment.
- Potentially cold environment.
- Potential heavy lifting.
