Primary Function:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is a key member of the supply chain leadership team, responsible for leading the shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material handling teams across multiple shifts. This role oversees daily operations to ensure safe, accurate, efficient, and on-time movement of materials to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strong operational leadership experience, technical and systems expertise, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and directing warehouse staff and daily activities
- Oversees scheduling of departmental staff and resources to meet customer expectations
- Developing and implementing warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operational flow, inventory accuracy, and safe work environment
- Leading, training, and evaluating warehouse personnel to build a high-performing team
- Mentoring and developing future leaders within the warehouse operations team
- Collaborating with other teams to align warehouse operations with organizational goals
- Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects
- Managing and optimizing warehouse layout to streamline operations and maximize space utilization.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is preferred; High School diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years previous leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations is required
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics, and inventory management
- Strong technical skills; including Microsoft Office & ERP/MRP/WMS systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Strong leadership, able to coach individuals to work effectively as a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time-management skills
