As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide operational leadership, management and development to a team including tradespersons and contractors driving optimum performance. You will be responsible for delivering planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance services across our St. Joseph, MO site.
As a qualified and experienced tradesperson with supervisory experience, you will assist in the coordination of maintenance engineering and build environment assets ensuring that management policies, systems, procedures meet statutory and regulatory obligations and ensure reportable levels of performance are issued.
As a front line leader, you will lead a highly productive maintenance team by coaching, developing, and building their skills to support future growth. Additionally, you will oversee and manage the maintenance of plant equipment and facilities as well as installation of new equipment and facilities through the effective use of department personnel to ensure the safe and consistent operation of equipment and minimization of downtime.
You are a safety-focused individual who will ensure the department has a proactive HS&E culture and work environment where employees and contractors can deliver outputs in a controlled risk environment.

Key Technical Criteria
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Technical college education in a relevant field such as industrial maintenance, or other applicable area of study (preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience (required)
- Minimum of 5 years management experience leading a team in industrial maintenance or in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in plant operation including familiarity with various areas of industrial maintenance such as equipment diagnosis and repair, preventative maintenance best practices, electrical, plumbing, welding fabrication, etc.
- Experience using a computer-based maintenance system
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to motivate a team and provide delegation of responsibilities to best match employee skills while providing opportunity for training and growth of employee capabilities
- Proven collaboration with other department leaders to effectively meet the organization’s production needs
