Position Overview: The Radiographer Lead reports to the Department Supervisor and is responsible for production, training, and directing the work of others. In addition, the role is to perform production radiography on castings and weldment using radioactive isotopes and high energy X-Ray in compliance with State of Washington regulations and plant policy and procedures, to interpret radiographic film, and to achieve the business unit's mission and business plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (Must be flexible for OT)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively support and participate in the Bradken 21 Step Safety Program
- Direct employees on job assignments
- Prioritize tasks for assigned area within the Department
- Train employees per Work Instructions, JSAs, and Training Manuals
- Ensure compliance with State of Washington and organizational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations
- Review customer specification requirements within the B&L system
- Establish and implement radiographic techniques on castings and weldments in accordance with customer specifications
- Review completed radiographs for compliance with technical specifications and applicable acceptance criteria
- Read and interpret film for acceptation and rejection of product
- Complete required paperwork to support radiographic inspection and Washington State DOH requirements
- Assist with guidance and training of Radiographer Level I and trainees
- Keep work area clean
- Alert supervisor/maintenance to any safety or quality issues needing attention
- Alert supervisor to any maintenance needs
- Recommend process improvements
- Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Vulcan Metals Corp. safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Other duties as assigned or requested
- Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions
- Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties
- Must be able to lift 55 pounds repetitively
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Must have good vision and depth perception
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirator
