We have hired one now we need to find another!
We are excited that we will be having an associate orthodontist joining our practice in July. In preparation for our practice getting larger, we are seeking dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistants (Hygienist or EFDA's can add to their work week) to join our dynamic dental team. Part-time or Full-time available (Could add to your current schedule. Tuesdays, E/O Wednesday and some Thursdays.) Pay based on ability. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be fun and outgoing. No drama
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform tasks related to four-handed dentistry, ensuring optimal efficiency during procedures.
- Utilize Dolphin Management for managing dental records.
- Maintain knowledge of terminology relevant to orthodontics.
- Support pediatric patients with empathy and understanding, creating a comfortable environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. (Hygienists or EFDA's)
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control standards in a dental clinic setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, particularly children and their parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on best practices in orthodontics.

Pay: $15.00 - $41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
