Overview
We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of LIHTC and HUD 50059 regulations, familiarity with compliance tracking tools and federal reporting systems (e.g., TRACS), and an understanding of fair housing laws and income verification processes. The candidate should have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle compliance challenges effectively. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance metrics and deadlines, ensuring no lapses in recertification processes
- Generate reports detailing compliance status and address discrepancies
- Conduct initial, annual, and interim tenant certifications for LIHTC and HUD 50059 programs
- Verify and document household eligibility, income, and assets
- Ensure timely completion and submission of all tenant recertifications
- Maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD 50059, and related housing regulations
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory agencies and auditors
- Monitor changes in regulations and implement adjustments to policies and procedures
- Maintain organized and accurate tenant files
- Ensure all documentation aligns with LIHTC and HUD requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responses
- Communicate with tenants to explain the recertification process and requirements
- Collaborate with property managers and other staff to ensure accurate data collection

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, focusing on LIHTC and HUD 50059
