POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinic Front Office Representative is responsible for preparing patients and their charts for their visit, this includes arranging payment and scheduling follow up visits when necessary. This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Interact with patients in a professional manner and assist with their needs.
- Schedule appointments in EMR.
- Collects and receives patient payments.
- Keep the lobby and front desk area neat and clean.
- Responsible for obtaining and entering all patient demographics, personal information, insurance information during the registration process.
- Responsible for verifying all patient insurance and scan the verification into the patients EMR.
- Prints and delivers patient schedules to the providers each day.
- Receive, screen and coordinate all incoming telephone calls.
- Prepare the office supply order each week.
- Wear proper PPE as necessary for job.
- Maintain protected health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines.
- Scan all patient documents into the EMR in a timely manner.
- Assist other clinical staff and patients with translating when necessary.
- Responsible for daily closeouts, balancing and deposit of daily work.
- Responsible for confirming future appointments.
- Prepare copy of records when presented with properly completed medical release forms.
- Participates in mandatory daily and monthly clinic meetings.
- Participates and completes annual training required by BCMC.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Clinic Front Office Representative reports to and is directly supervised by the Clinic Manager, who reports to the BCMC CEO.
EVALUATION
The evaluation of work performance will be on going, and will be carried out by the Office Manager with consultation of the Clinic Providers. The Clinic Front Desk Representative's evaluation will be based on the employees' ability to perform essential functions and customer service.
QUALIFICATION
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Medical billing experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Physician office experience preferred, but not necessary.
- Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Bilingual preferred (additional compensation)

8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday
8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday
