Dixie Plywood & Lumber Company is recruiting for an Engineered Wood Products Designer.
This key position requires someone with service-oriented and EWP-specialized sales experience. The selected candidate will create working drawings of I-Joist Floor systems, primarily for 2 story residential homes, answer technical questions for customers concerning beam specifications and load development. There will be some customer visits with emphasis on design services and Engineered Wood Products.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant should process an Associate Degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent. He/she should also have:
- A background knowledge in residential framing and construction
- Two years construction drafting experience
- Engineered Wood Product knowledge
- The ability to produce and complete accurate work; and, be detail oriented
- Self-motivational qualities
- Some sales experience
