The position is for work in the southside of Indianapolis down to the Franklin area for a large, local, auto dealership group. Responsible for performing repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance on several facility's building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the building and its occupants. Work at different locations depending on the task. Often responding to repair requests from Managers and completing routine inspections to identify potential issues. Also schedule and over see outside vendors as they complete needed work.

Key responsibilities may include:
- Preventative maintenance: Regularly inspecting and servicing buildings equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Repair work: Addressing issues as they arise, including fixing misc items, replacing light bulbs, repairing minor electrical problems, patching walls, and fix doors. Scheduling: Contacting and communicating with outside vendors to do certain repairs.
- General upkeep: Cleaning and maintaining common areas, grounds, and exterior building features.
- Responding to work orders: Receiving and prioritizing maintenance requests, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs efficiently.
- Safety compliance: Adhering to safety procedures when working with tools and equipment, reporting hazards. Required skills and qualifications:
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of basic principles of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Hand tools proficiency: Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Problem-solving skills: Identifying the root cause of issues and determining appropriate solutions
- Physical ability: Comfortable with lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and performing some manual labor
- Communication skills: Communicating clearly with building occupants, supervisors, and contractors regarding repairs and maintenance needs
