What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Tech - Med Surg - PRN - Nights position at BRADLEY MEDICAL CENTER LLC?
The PCT/Unit Clerk under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/Staff LPN provides routine patient care in accordance with Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland established policy and procedures. Delivers care based on patients needs appropriate to age and developmental level for the pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel.
1. Responsible to the patient to provide the highest quality nursing care possible.
2. Assist LPNs and staff RNs deliver patient care.
3. Responsible to promote cooperative working relationships both on the assigned unit and
with other hospital departments.
4. Participate in performance improvement activities.
Education: Minimum high school graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
Experience: One-year experience as nursing assistant preferred. One-year patient care experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred or enrolled in accredited nursing program preferred. BLS required within 30 days of hire
