JOB SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of Safety and Security duties providing a safe and secure environment. When appropriate contacts proper authorities for violations of criminal laws of BMC properties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Licensure: Valid Drivers License. Must be able to qualify for TN Protective Service License. SAMA certification and Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience: At least six months in Public Safety or Law Enforcement related fields is preferred.
Skills: Requires moderate proficiency in the operation and use of calculators, intermediate computer use and knowledge, radio, camera, and fingerprint equipment. Requires experience working with all types of people with special circumstances.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The duties are performed both inside and outside in good and inclement weather. These duties also expose the Officers to contagious and infectious diseases. The noise levels from quiet to very noisy. This position requires sitting, standing, and a considerable amount of driving for long periods of time. This position also requires a skill for dealing with people in a businesslike manner. Personal hygiene and a neat appearance are a must.
