Bradley Professional is currently seeking a Senior Business Development Executive for our client, a fast paced, growing company located in Raleigh, NC

The Senior Business Development Executive (Raleigh NC-based) will be responsible for managing and developing service agreements, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing business. You will manage and grow existing industrial and institutional accounts, and attract new clients, by identifying and meeting their Service and MEP needs. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful account management and growth, and new business development in the industrial, biosciences, health care, and institutional sectors.

Key Deliverables

  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with high-value clients to achieve organic growth.
  • Attract and retain new direct customers for service, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects.
  • Understand and fulfill the requirements necessary to build relationships and conduct business with Owners, General Contractors, Construction Managers, and Engineering Firms.
  • Possess a "hunter" mentality, negotiate and close profitable business opportunities.
  • Achieve an understanding of Cross-Selling products and services offered by other Crete United partners as it benefits the company and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strategic accounts by representing the organization externally with clients.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client needs and company capabilities for service, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Create and execute strategies for soliciting and winning MEP projects from General Contractors, Construction Managers, and Engineering Firms.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to ask questions, probe for business opportunities, and demonstrate value for clients.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with Estimating, Operations, Project Management, Field Service, and Fabrication teams.
  • Visit clients and attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Manage the RFP process to deliver profitable wins.
  • Facilitate strategic partnerships with other companies, ensuring that cross-sale partners deliver on promises made, and the results expected by clients.
  • Interface with Project Managers and Key Personnel to deliver impactful and consistent messaging to clients consistent with strategic growth goals.
  • Influence clients via consultative selling, using financial and non-financial drivers to generate profitable service and MEP business.
  • Leverage internal resources to present the company as a leader in design-build construction and project management.
  • Proactively remain connected to clients and the market to ensure that all high-value clients and prospects are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and consistent accountability.
  • Use Salesforce CRM system to track sales activities and manage proposals.
  • Skills and Experience

  • BA / BS in business, engineering, or related area of study; or, relevant industry experience.
  • 10 years of sales experience within industrial, biosciences, health care, and / or institutional sectors.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing fields is preferred.
  • Proven sales results and experience with developing strategies for growing and hunting.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Problem solving and negotiation aptitude.
  • Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client contacts of all levels (C-level to technical / "hands on" roles).
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines at top of mind.
  • Creative thinking, positive energy, and strong EQ.
  • High integrity to balance company needs and goals with client expectations.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
