Position Title : IT Project Manager
Department : Information Technology
Reports to : Director of Strategic Initiatives and Projects
Appointment : Full-Time (12 months)
Status : Exempt
The IT Project Manager works closely with IT leadership and project teams to provide project management and support. This may include gathering requirements, building project plans, managing deadlines and workflow, and managing competing priorities. Desired qualifications include experience with project management concepts including agile methodology, expertise with project management tools, previous participation on project teams, and an information technology / systems background. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Projects in Information Technology.
The duties of this position can be summarized as follows :
- Initial participation in project planning, management, and implementation activities will transition to independent management of IT and organizational projects and support of institutional projects.
Maintain current knowledge of project management industry best practices
Help develop and maintain templates and processes for the PMO
