We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advocate to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance to individuals and families in crisis situations, ensuring their immediate needs are met.
- Assist clients in navigating family law issues, including custody disputes and protective orders.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families, developing tailored intervention plans.
- Collaborate with social workers, childcare providers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Facilitate communication between clients and relevant agencies, advocating for their rights and best interests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, case progress, and outcomes.
- Participate in training sessions to stay informed about best practices in crisis intervention and child welfare.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques and experience in crisis intervention.
- Familiarity with family law principles and child protective services is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children and families in various settings, including childcare or social services.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
