High School Science Teacher.
Job Summary
Responsible for teaching courses in High School Science. The ideal candidate would be able to teach a variety of science courses.Primary responsibilities
- Instruct students utilizing your understanding of scientific content
- Communicate effectively with students and staff at different technology skill levels to support instruction and advance educational goals.
- Provide constructive criticism and feedback.
- Maintain grade book, proctor exams, and assign projects as necessary.
- Perform experiments in class to enhance lecture component.
- Respond to student questions in a timely and effective fashion
- Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
- Read and stay abreast of current topics in science.
- Create lesson plans.
- Utilize various curriculum resources.
- Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Develop incentives to keep participants engaged in classwork as necessary.
- Develop professional relationships with other staff members.
- Work with administrators to ensure department goals are being met.
- Tutor students on an individual basis as needed.
- Maintains standards of pupil behavior to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
- Maintains professional competence through in-service education.
- Communicates with parents, administrators and school counselors on pupil progress
- Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
- Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned work day
- Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.
- Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
- Performs other duties as many, from time to time be assigned by the supervisor.

Salary : $38,611 - $53,899
