Job Summary :
The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the HR functions of the organization, with a focus on employee training, professional development, and the creation of effective curriculum. This role will design and implement learning programs that enhance employee skills, align with business objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of HR best practices, and the ability to drive organizational growth through training and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Training & Development :
Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs that address the needs of employees at all levels, focusing on both technical and soft skills.
Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with leadership teams to identify skill gaps and training opportunities.
Develop training schedules and ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and employee career development.
Implement and track employee development plans to ensure continuous professional growth and skill enhancement.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback, and make improvements as necessary.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team leaders and employees to enhance leadership, performance, and overall productivity.
Facilitate onboarding and new hire training to ensure a smooth integration into the organization.
Curriculum Development :
Develop and maintain a library of training materials, programs, and resources tailored to the organization’s strategic goals.
Create a scalable and sustainable learning and development curriculum that can be delivered through various formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, self-paced modules).
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop customized content that is relevant, engaging, and impactful.
Ensure that curriculum materials adhere to best practices in instructional design, adult learning principles, and diverse learning styles.
Continuously review and update existing curriculum to stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices.
Professional Development & Employee Engagement :
Lead initiatives to promote ongoing professional development across the organization, including leadership development programs, skill-building workshops, and certification opportunities.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and personal growth to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall job satisfaction.
Implement programs such as mentorship, career pathing, and succession planning to support long-term employee development and retention.
Organize external training sessions, conferences, and seminars for employees to stay updated with industry standards and network with peers.
Employee Relations :
Along with the VP the Sr. Manager develops Human Resources policies for the organization with regard to employee relations.
Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
HR Strategy & Administration :
Partner with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational objectives, focusing on talent management, performance, and employee satisfaction.
Oversee employee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to training, development, and employment practices.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging best practices in HR, training, and professional development.
Leadership and Team Collaboration :
Lead a team of HR professionals focused on employee development, training, and HR operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support broader organizational initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, organizational change, and team building.
Provide HR leadership and advice to department heads and line managers on employee training, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
Other Responsibilities :
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition :
Lead the recruitment process from job posting to final hire, including writing job descriptions, posting openings on job boards, and managing the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Process and manage end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate compensation.
Maintain a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, including federal, state, and local taxes, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role, focused on training, development, and curriculum design.
Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and delivering training programs in various formats (classroom, virtual, e-learning).
Strong understanding of HR best practices, adult learning principles, and talent development strategies.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in HRIS, LMS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) or similar certification is a plus.
Familiarity with coaching, mentoring, and career development frameworks.
