The Assistant Controller – Parts Stores will be responsible for providing financial support to the Parts store business units in the Brady organization including, but not limited to, monthly reporting, financial analysis and close processes. They provide responsive financial support to business unit and departmental leaders. They will help set financial objectives to meet goals, developing policy and procedures, and contributing to the leadership of the Finance department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following
- Responsible for parts store monthly close processes
- Responsible for monthly recurring entries
- Responsible for inventory related accounting, including annual physical inventory process
- Assists with financial statement analyses
- Monitors and maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Assist Controller with ad-hoc projects as needed
- Assist Controller with financial support to business unit and departmental leaders
- Assist Controller with establishing and maintaining accounting policies, processes and procedures, consistent with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
- Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration from an accredited institution
- 3 years of public accounting experience or related position experience
- Retail and inventory accounting experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Previous experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Ability to prove US employment eligibility

- Ability to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 20 pounds occasionally
