Chemical Specialist

We are in search of a Chemical Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for promoting product and system solutions. The focus of this position is that you will interact directly with customers in the Food Service, Laundry and Food Processing industries. You will Assist/Lead installing laundry, WareWash and Food Processing Dispensing Systems. You will be responsible for assigned Customers to service on a regular scheduled basis.

Responsibilities Include:

• Install, maintain and repair dispensing equipment as well as demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that the equipment is fully operational.
• Install commercial dish machines as required
• Independently understand your customer's cleaning needs in order to proactively identify solutions that best meet customer expectations.
• Perform skilled mechanical/electrical work to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems
• Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings. These duties shall be performed using hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment, measuring and testing instruments
• Working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
• Know and explain the hazards associated with specific types of products, equipment and tools.
• Use appropriate tools for the job and comply with all company safety polices. Wear all the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required or necessary, know proper reporting of an accident or emergency.
• Always operate all equipment and/or machinery correctly and safely
• Assist outside vendors and/or contractors by providing information or lending assistance for work conducted at specified locations.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in one or more of the following areas: FoodService, Laundry or Food Processing.
• Experience in the commercial chemical industry servicing dish machines / warewash / water treatment / laundry a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical ability
• Ability to work independently (self-motivated)
• Possess good organizational skills
• Tech Savvy - ability to use smart phones and learn new technologies
• Proficiency in the English language, bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Frequently kneel, stand, and bend.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Ability to successfully pass job-related pre-employment screenings to include a criminal background check and drug test.
• Driving: Driving on a regular basis on behalf of the company is an essential function of this role. A valid driver’s license and save driving history is required.
