What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weighmaster/Scale Operator position at Braen Stone Co?
We are a safety minded company and expect the successful candidate to be as well. This position is hourly, non-exempt from overtime. Overtime is paid after 40 hours are worked each week. Hours of work will vary.
Expectations/ Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Weighing and ticketing trucks on the scales
Careful management and accurate ticketing on a timely basis via computer database
Handling of incoming cash sales with accuracy
Directing trucks on and off of the scales to maintain an even flow of truck traffic
Coordinate and schedule deliveries
Dispatch delivery trucks
Maintain accurate records of incoming recyclable materials
Assist customers with inquiries
Must be able to work independently
Weighmaster certification preferred, but not required.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Aptitudes:
Requires practical office skills, data entry skills
Must be organized and a team player
Strong communication skills are a top priority
Basic math & cashiering experience
Motivated self-starter
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
Physical Demands:
Position occasional Standing, Walking, Sitting

Travel:
Travel is required to all of our quarry locations (Haledon, Ringwood, Franklin, Sparta).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Hours of work for day shift are generally 5:00 am - 5:00pm; Hours for night shift are generally 5:30pm - 5:530am - subject to change
Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions
Exposure to high levels of noise to be expected
Punctual attendance is required
This position may be subjected to seasonal layoffs.
