Crane Mechanic

As we continue to pursue new goals, it's an exciting time to join the Bragg team. We are currently hiring a Crane Mechanic in our Midland, TX branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, Repair, and Service Cranes: Handle mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Work Independently: Complete tasks productively without direct supervision.
• Inspect and Assess Equipment: Perform thorough periodic inspections.
• Documentation: Fill out work order reports, time sheets, and expense reports accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 5 years as a Crane Mechanic/Technician, experience with various mobile crane equipment.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read schematics and manuals, set up and operate cranes, and basic computer skills.
• Certifications: NCCCO certification for service trucks and overhead cranes, valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Operational Skills: Ability to travel occasionally, safely drive and operate service trucks and crane attachments, possess necessary tools, pass federal background checks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Training: Factory certified training welding/fabrication experience.
• Diagnostics Tools: Previous experience utilizing engine diagnostic tools.

Work Environment

• Travel: Must be able to travel periodically.
• Location: Must be able to commute to Midland, TX branch.
• Physical Conditions: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds is required. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
